Tyler Glasnow Exits Start Early With Apparent Injury
Los Angeles Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow left his start against the Houston Astros on Wednesday after pitching just one inning. Glasnow allowed a leadoff home run in the outing, followed by two strikeouts—the first of which was the 1,000th of his career —and a groundout to close the first inning. Glasnow signaled for the trainer to come out while he warmed up for the second inning, and left the game shortly after.
The big right-hander has a history of injuries since the beginning of the his career in 2017, but has been especially frail since joining the Dodgers ahead of the 2024 season. He suffered a back injury in July 2024, and landed back on the injured list just a month later with elbow tendinitis—which kept him out for the remainder of the season. In 2025, Glasnow landed on the injured list early with right shoulder inflammation.
He stayed on the IL until July 2025 , and managed to stay healthy for the remainder of the season. The Dodgers are yet to reveal what happened to Glasnow.
