Is embattled QB Brendan Sorsby the answer for the Browns in NFL supplemental draft?

Yahoo Sports

Todd McShay, draft analyst for The Ringer, believes Brendan Sorsby could be an option at quarterback for several NFL teams, including the Browns.

In limbo Brendan Sorsby as Cleveland Browns quarterback? Sure, why not? The team has a history of taking on players who come with baggage at the most important position in sports.

Cough ... Deshaun Watson ... cough.

So why not Sorsby, who has a been outed in some reports as an individual with a gambling problem who apparently bet on his own team while at Indiana – though he didn’t play in the game he bet on? In his four-year career between Indiana and Cincinnati, Sorsby, 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, connected on 594 of 968 passes (61. 4%) with 60 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.

However, he is currently embroiled in an eligibility battle with the NCAA. Sorsby transferred to Texas Tech to take advantage of an NIL payday , but his ability to play in the coming college season remains in question. He’s asking college sports' governing body for an expedited decision on his case with litigation becoming a possibility.
