The Reds have lost 18 times in this campaign - the most in a season since Rafa Benitez was sacked. And there are still three to play. But despite the terrible form, Liverpool have stuck by Slot.
Whether they do that beyond the summer is another matter, however, and we're all waiting to see what the final decision is. We may have had a clue, though. Ajax journalist Mike Verweij claims that the Dutch giants approached Slot recently to see if he'd take over in the summer.
He told the Telegraaf podcast that they're keen on hiring him and made an inquiry. However, Slot is less keen about heading there. It's an interesting one but the fact that Ajax had any encouragement whatsoever to approach Slot suggests football circles feel he'll be available.
