Russell Wilson says he is debating between signing with the Jets, making jump to TV
The veteran quarterback is the latest player to be considering a switch from football to TV.
Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson remains a free agent both in the football world and the TV industry. Wilson visited the New York Jets ’ facility in late April, and he told the New York Post that the franchise had given him the opportunity to sign a contract. The former New York Giants quarterback said that the visit was “great” and that “they offered me, and I’m trying to figure out what the next best thing is for me to do.

The offer to join the Jets would reunite him with Geno Smith, who backed him up when the two were with the Seattle Seahawks together.
The Giants chose not to bring back Wilson after his lone season with the team. He played in only six games, getting benched in favor of then-rookie Jaxson Dart. Wilson finished the year with only 831 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.
