Amad Diallo reveals the ‘biggest change’ at Man United since Michael Carrick took charge
Michael Carrick has led Man United back into the Champions League after replacing Ruben Amorim in January
Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has expressed a strong desire for Michael Carrick to remain as the club's head coach next season, indicating that this sentiment is widely shared among the squad. Carrick, 44, was installed as interim manager following Ruben Amorim’s departure in January and has since impressively guided the team to Champions League qualification with three games still remaining in the campaign. Diallo’s endorsement follows similar backing from other key players, including Kobbie Mainoo, who declared that players "want to die for" Carrick after United’s 3-2 victory against arch-rivals Liverpool on Sunday.
Matheus Cunha and the departing Casemiro have also publicly supported Carrick for the permanent role. Amad, who previously labelled Carrick the "right man" a month ago, reiterated his hopes for the coach to stay. "Honestly, it’s not the player who decides who is going to stay here next season, but what I can say (is) everyone is happy to have him as manager," Diallo told Sky Sports .
"Everyone is with him. He’s that manager who has a good relationship with every player, so we are really happy to have him as manager and, yeah, we will be happy if we have him next season as manager.
