Luke Rockhold didn't mince words when discussing how he feels about Sean Strickland . Rockhold has been helping middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev (15-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) in training camp for his fight against Strickland (30-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) in Saturday's UFC 328 ( Paramount+ ) headliner at Prudential Center inย Newark, N. J.
Rockhold was booked to face Strickland at UFC 268 in 2021, but a herniated disk forced him out of the fight. The former UFC middleweight champion recalls training with Strickland in the past and how he wasn't a fan of his demeanor on the mats. "Sean is truly a piece of sh*t," Rockhold said on "The Ariel Helwani Show.
" "I didn't even know who Sean was when he first rolled into our training camp. He showed up on our doorstep, and he was just a loud idiot. He was trying to beat up kids who were helping him and trying to knock them out consistently after he already hurt them.
He's not one of those guys I like to be around, and he's just not a good person. " Despite his disdain for Strickland, Rockhold admits he's the sternest test for Chimaev โ not just at middleweight. "He's the most dangerous guy at middleweight and light heavyweight," Rockhold said.
