NFL analyst Peter Schrager has been ubiquitous across ESPN’s debate shows since joining the Worldwide Leader in 2025. The 44-year-old former Fox Sports and NFL Network pundit pops up on “Get Up,” “First Take,” “The Pat McAfee Show,” “NFL Live” and “SportsCenter” to share news and views. “According to sources briefed on ESPN’s plans, a show centered on Peter Schrager is the likely winner for the 2 p. m. hour” following McAfee’s show, The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand reported.

New era for ESPN daytime The ESPN daytime lineup has been in flux since “Around the Horn” left the 5 p. m. time slot after 23 years in May 2025.

The network hoped to find a successful lead-in to the popular “Pardon the Interruption” hosted by Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon at 5:30 p. m. It even toyed with the idea of making “PTI” an hour-long show, per Marchand.
