UNC basketball reportedly out on transfer portal target
The UNC basketball program is out on a reported target Momo Faye.
North Carolina's search for help on the roster in the transfer portal continues on. Under Michael Malone, the Tar Heels are putting together their roster for the head coach in his first season and they are attempting to do so via the transfer portal. So far, the Tar Heels have landed a few commitments, both in the front court and the back court to help with the roster.
However, they are after a few other big recruits. The latest target for the Tar Heels is overseas in center Momo Faye who plays at Paris Basketball. Malone and Chuck Martin have been overseas scouting and had Faye on their radar.
But that doesn't appear to be the case anymore. Per On3's Joe Tipton , the Tar Heels are reportedly not pursuing Faye anymore. The reason is likey being the price tag that Faye wants in terms of joining a program.
Instead, the Tar Heels will turn their attention to other prospects at center. With Henri Veesaar, James Brown and Zaydn High all gone, UNC really needs to find more depth at that spot.
