Lexi Thompson has withdrawn from Wednesday's U. S. Women's Open qualifier in Naples, Florida.

Women's Open . The streak dates back to 2007, when she made her debut at Pine Needles and set a record as the youngest to qualify. Thompson's 19 consecutive Women's Open appearances tie the longest active streak with Amy Yang.

Two years ago at the U. S. Women's Open, Thompson announced she was stepping away from full-time golf, leaving many to wonder whether Lancaster Country Club would be her final appearance at the championship that first brought her fame nearly 20 years ago.
