Florida lands DL commit Stive-Bently Keumajou over Miami, Georgia

Defensive lineman Stive-Bentley Keumajou became the latest commitment for Florida in a week that has seen the Gators' 2027 class rankings climb.

Florida landed another piece for its already impressive defensive front with the commitment of 2027 three-star defensive lineman Stive-Bentley Keumajou. The 6-foot-2-inch, 295-pound prospect from Miami (Florida) Coral Gables with international roots has risen swiftly in recruiting rankings and boasts an intriguing physical upside. A recent transplant from England, Keumajou has the combination of size and athleticism that garners considerable attention from around the SEC.

Viewed as a prospect with a developmental ceiling far exceeding his rating, the future Gator will fit nicely beside fellow recruits in the trenches. Keumajou has limited experience on the football field compared to his peers, but possesses physical tools that make him a multi-sports athlete. His prowess on the basketball court and soccer field highlights an athlete with agility and lateral quickness.

Prior to him gaining traction on the national radar, Florida identified him early and prioritized his recruitment. As the Gators continue to emphasize length and versatility, Keumajou demonstrates the traits Jon Sumrall is looking for on the line of scrimmage. Gerald Chatman and the defensive staff will need to help sharpen his technique, but early signs point to Keumajou being a potential difference-maker on Saturdays.

As of Tuesday, the Gators were slated at No. 6 on Rivals team recruiting rankings after securing the commitments of four-star safety Kailib Dillard and four-star offensive lineman Elijah Hutchenson. Under new head coach Jon Sumrall, the recruiting pipeline is the strongest it's been in years.
