The team will be in the Eternal City for several days due to a bizarre quirk of the fixture list, meaning they have back-to-back games against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico. They’ll face off here in Serie A on the evening of Saturday May 9, then again on Wednesday May 13 for the Coppa Italia Final.

It has become a tradition for the team that wins the Serie A title to meet with the Pope in a special audience, as Antonio Conte’s Napoli had the same experience last summer with the American Pope, who had only recently been given the role.
