‘I’m the people’s champion’: Daniel Dubois expects plenty of support in title fight with Fabio Wardley

Dubois will be looking to regain world title status on Saturday and silence any criticism about whether or not he’s got the heart to come through.
Dubois on if he believes he’s become a man of the people in British boxing “Yeah, well I think our journey anyway has been the people coming up, fighting the battles and coming through it. You know, from the days my dad was taking me to the gym until now, we ain’t changed. We’ve just been coming through our battles, coming through our wars, and here we are now.
Man of the people. I’m the champion, people’s champion. ” On being called a binman “I’ve got an answer for [Wardley] when I see him.
I’ve got an answer for him when I see him, yeah. ” On Wardley being favored to win “I know what I’m here for, I’m here to fight. I can’t wait ‘til Saturday, just keeping me primed ‘til then.
