Gruesome Lakers injury led to most horrified reaction from Thunder bench

The Jarred Vanderbilt injury looked pretty gruesome on the broadcast of the Los Angeles Lakers ' loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night. Vanderbilt was trying to block a Chet Holmgren shot in the second quarter, but as he swatted, he hit the backboard so hard. Of course Vanderbilt was in pain, and as video showed that's gone viral, the Thunder bench got a look at what was deemed a dislocated pinkie that required stitches because the bone broke the skin.

Their reaction? As you'd expect. They were horrified and a few players had to look away.

That makes a lot of sense. The hope is that Vanderbilt is OK. It reminds me of how Cavaliers and Celtics players reacted to Gordon Hayward's horrific injury .
