The 2026 Cleveland Browns roster has taken shape after a very active offseason. Grade the NFL draft, free agency moves

Now that the draft is behind them, there’s a clearer sense of how the Cleveland Browns roster is shaping up for the 2026 season. Following an active free agency period and the development of a well-respected draft class , it’s time to take a step back and assess where the team stands overall. Did the front office succeed in rebuilding the roster this offseason?

One national site put it near the top of all offseasons . The biggest concern going into this offseason was the offensive line, and the front office certainly prioritized that in both free agency and the draft. The free agent signings of Elgton Jenkins and Zion Johnson were a nice start, along with a trade for Houston Texans tackle Tytus Howard .

They reinforced this group in the draft as well by taking tackle Spencer Fano in the first round and tackle Austin Barber in the third round. They added center Parker Brailsford as well on Day 3. The team didn’t just address gaps at the position; they also added much-needed depth to protect against injuries or other issues within the group this season.

Wide receiver was another position of need for this team. The Browns neglected to address the position in free agency, aside from signing Tylan Wallace to a minimal one-year deal. This made the position an even bigger priority in the draft.
