Westlake girls roll to fifth UIL Class 6A state golf championship in San Antonio
Westlake's girls golf team won the UIL Class 6A state championship Tuesday, one week after the Chaps' boys team won state as well.

The Chaparrals received contributions from all five golfers to capture the UIL Class 6A state championship at TPC San Antonio with a 10-stroke win over Southlake Carroll.
Vandegrift came in third place, 15 shots behind Westlake. It was Westlake's fifth girls state championship in school history. The Chaps were led by Emmy Yang, who had a two-day score of 153 (78-75).
She was joined by teammates Ava Osborne (82-73-155), Lindsay Kneer (76-79-155), Rachel Turk (81-75-156) and Lillian Cubriel (88-78-166). The Chaps w on the boys' 6A state championship last week. The Vandegrift girls had a one-stroke lead over Westlake after Monday's first round, but the Chaps made up ground Tuesday with the best four-person day two score (301). Vandegrift fell in the standings with a day-two score of 317.
