Fernando Carmona singled out as Titans most questionable pick in draft
Analyst questions the Tennessee Titans' fifth-round pick of lineman Fernando Carmona in the 2026 NFL Draft.
By most accounts, general manager Mike Borgonzi and the Tennessee Titans had another strong 2026 draft class, adding both competition and playmakers to the roster with eight total picks. While the majority of those eight players were viewed positively, some have been questioned in the post-draft process. The latest to weigh in was Josh Edwards of CBS Sports, who broke down his most questionable picks by all 32 teams in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Tennessee Titans : OL Fernando Carmona, Arkansas (Round 5, No. 142 overall) Tennessee's draft class is another that I personally enjoyed, but Carmona was more of a seventh-round consideration. The Titans needed some offensive line help, and Carmona has a bit of positional flexibility, having played tackle in his career.
The Carmona pick seemed the most surprising in the class because of what was perceived as a complete lack of interest and low name recognition compared to some of the other interior prospects. An experienced lineman with the intangibles the team covets, he has a chance to come in and compete. Plus, there is a good chance that offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo, who was out on different scouting trips, signed off on the pick, meaning Carmona has the traits he desires in his prospects.
While that means little at the moment, it should at least give fans hope. This article originally appeared on Titans Wire: Tennessee Titans: 5th-round guard named most questionable draft pick
