This wouldn't make a whole lot of sense.

Around Major League Baseball, there haven't been many more important stories than Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels figuring things out at a very high level.

There should have been no question about Trout doing so, as he's proven throughout his entire career that when he's on the field, he's one of the best players we've ever seen. It's unfortunate that people don't remember what Trout did when he was younger and always on the field, as there was a strong argument to be made that he was the greatest baseball player we've ever seen. Obviously, things are different now because of those injuries and him getting older, but that doesn't mean that teams around the league won't still try to trade for him if the Angels move on from him, which was recently proposed by The Athletic.

One of the teams that was linked to him was the San Francisco Giants , who have been very disappointing to start the year. “The Giants showed last year they weren’t afraid to take on a big contract when they sent four players to the Red Sox for Devers, who is now part of their DH problem. They’ve gotten some production from Casey Schmitt, a good defensive third baseman who has power but doesn’t walk and chases too often to see him as a long-term regular at an offensive position.

It does seem like throwing good money after bad to go acquire another big-contract DH, though,” Keith Law of The Athletic wrote . It almost feels safe to say that if the Angels move on from Trout, they look to send him somewhere he wants to play. If he wants to play in San Francisco, it would make sense if both sides could figure something out.
