He came out of retirement in 2023 and was the President’s Cup most valuable player as the Rivermen for the 2024 SPHL title. Mitch McPherson was also a former retiree who returned to the ice for that 2023-24 championship team. Then there’s JM Piotrowski.

He was on the 2024 championship team and the 2021-22 team that won Peoria its first SPHL title. In fact, he scored the series-clinching goal in overtime in Roanoke for that title. He retired last spring after five years with the Rivermen.
