Dante Fowler Jr. signs with Seahawks on one-year deal worth up to $5 million; former Commanders linebacker looks to revive career.

Former Washington Commanders linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. , known for his ten sacks in 2024, has signed a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Fowler, turning 32 in August, joins his sixth NFL team in just two years of his career.

After failing to meet expectations early on, Fowlerโ€™s trade from Jacksonville to Los Angeles and subsequent success with Atlanta Falcons rejuvenated his career. In 2022, he recorded the second-best number of sacks in NFL history for a defensive end, earning him a three-year contract worth $48 million. The move brings an opportunity for Fowler to compete for a Super Bowl title after previously contributing to the Seahawks' defense.
