After making the NFC Championship Game in 2023, the team fell in the Divisional Round in 2024, and didn't even make the playoffs in 2025. The team didn't make any major splashes in free agency, but the hope is that health and development will be enough to propel the team back to the postseason. It seems like the offense should continue to be just fine.
Jahmyr Gibbs is one of the best backs in the league, and Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams make up one of the best receiver duos in the league. However, there are a couple of glaring holes, especially on defense.
Gilberto Manzano of Sports Illustrated recently identified each NFC team's biggest roster holes, and for the Lions , Manzano identified cornerback and edge rusher.
