Hill has played several positions in his Bengals career, but he’s ready to settle in on the boundary.

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Dax Hill (23) celebrates an interception in the first quarter of the NFL Week 2 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Jacksonville Jaguars at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025. The Jaguars led 17-10 at halftime.

Hill made his intentions very clear that he hoped to remain at outside cornerback this season, going as far as to say that playing outside and sticking with one position would be best for his mental health. After bouncing around between safety, slot corner, and on the outside during his rookie contract, Hill feels most comfortable playing outside corner.

It is hard to argue with that, when his best performances have come playing at one of the outside cornerback spots the past couple of seasons. Staying at outside corner is “ideal” for the mental health of Dax Hill. pic.
