Tigers-Red Sox clear benches after Valdez allows 10 early runs
Framber Valdez was ejected after a bench clearing in the fourth inning against the Red Sox.
Detroit – Tigers starter Framber Valdez was ejected in the fourth inning Tuesday after he drilled Red Sox hitter Trevor Story in the back. The Red Sox had just hit back to back home runs off him – Willson Contreras and Wilyer Abreu. They were big blasts, 449 feet for Contreras and 396 for Abreu.
Both admired their hits and took their time around the bases. After giving up back-to-back home runs, Framber Valdez hit Trevor Story, and the benches cleared 👀 Valdez has been ejected pic. twitter.

Benches and bullpens from both sides emptied but nothing happened, just a lot of talking. It was a nightmare start all the way around for Valdez, who was tagged with 10 runs and nine hits in three-plus innings.
