Bengals reunion chance over with DJ Reader headed to Giants
The small chance of a DJ Reader return to the Bengals is over.
As expected, the Cincinnati Bengals wonโt be getting their reunion with DJ Reader . According to ESPNโs Jeremy Fowler , Reader has signed a two-year deal worth $12. 5 million to join the New York Giants .
The Bengals nixed any chance of a reunion with Reader when they traded the 10th pick to those Giants for Dexter Lawrence . Itโs a depth chart with Lawrence that is just too crowded now. BJ Hill is still there alongside TJ Slaton and free-agent signing Jonathan Allen, while theyโre still hoping to get something out of Kris Jenkins, let alone perhaps McKinnley Jackson.
Even so, the Reader reunion idea was a fun one and who knows? Maybe that was on the list of possible plans before the Lawrence trade worked out. This article originally appeared on Bengals Wire: Bengals reunion chance over with DJ Reader headed to Giants
