Giants, defensive tackle D.J. Reader agree to 2-year deal

The New York Giants agreed to a two-year contract with D. J. Reader, he confirmed Tuesday.

Reader played for the Detroit Lions the last two seasons.

Defensive tackle D. J. Reader previously spent time with the Houston Texans, Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals.

Reader's pact with the Giants is worth up to $15. 5 million. The veteran defensive lineman will join a revamped Giants defensive tackle group that also features Shelby Harris, Leki Fotu and Darius Alexander, among others.
