Iowa football has landed another linebacker in the 2027 high school recruiting class.
IOWA CITY — Linebacker Kyler Van Maanen has committed to Iowa football in the 2027 recruiting class, he announced May 5. Van Maanen attends Pella High School. At the time of his commitment, Van Maanen was unranked and unrated by the 247Sports Composite.
He is listed at 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds. As a junior, Van Maanen racked up 92. 5 tackles and 23.
5 tackles for loss, both of which were team-highs. Van Maanen picked up offers from Iowa, South Dakota, Lindenwood and Northern Iowa. The Hawkeyes just offered Van Maanen in late April.
Van Maanen runs a 4. 68 40-yard dash and has a 36. 1 inch vertical, according to his social media.
