How former Alabama pitcher Connor Prielipp has performed in MLB debut
Former Alabama baseball pitcher Connor Prielipp has impressed over the first three starts of his MLB career with the Minnesota Twins.
Over the first month of the 2026 MLB season, the Alabama Crimson Tide had one player dominate the headlines for the program across the league, and that was Connor Prielipp. A former star pitcher for the Crimson Tide, Prielipp recently made his MLB debut back on April 22 for the Minnesota Twins, starting for the team against the New York Mets. Prielipp impressed in his initial MLB debut also, allowing two earned runs across four innings, while also giving up four hits with six strikeouts.
Since, Prielipp has remained with the major league team, and as of Tuesday, May 5, had made three starts with the Twins. Over those three starts, the left-hander sports a 1-0 record with a 3. 86 ERA across 14 innings pitched, while also owning a 15:5 K:BB ratio.
Opponents are also batting for only a combined . 163 average against Prielipp over those three starts. A former second round pick from the 2022 MLB draft out of Alabama, Prielipp's next start is projected to come this upcoming Friday, May 8 on the road against the Cleveland Guardians.
