Four-star Texas TE target Brock Williams sets commitment date

If thereโs been one knock on the recruiting ability of Texas Longhorns tight ends coach and special teams coordinator Jeff Banks over his five years in Austin, itโs been his inability to consistently land elite tight ends, an area Banks hopes to address when Libertyville (Ill. ) standout Brock Williams makes his decision on May 15. ๐จ May 15th commitment day!!!

Each of those three schools have been able get the 6โ5, 210-pounder on campus multiple times, including the Longhorns for an unofficial visit in late March that seemed to push Texas towards the top of Williamsโ recruitment. In recent years, beating out the Bullogs for top tight ends has been a challenge for the Longhorns as Georgia tight ends have found success on the field, but the recent track record for Texas with NFL Draft picks at the position in each of the last three years.
Williams holds close to 40 total offers, including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and USC, among others.
