The Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly waived a former Penn State cornerback who also spent time with the Buffalo Bills.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are parting ways with former Penn State cornerback Daequan Hardy , who also played for the Buffalo Bills at the beginning of his NFL career. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2, the Steelers are waiving injured cornerback Daequan Hardy. The two sides could come to an injury settlement if he is able to clear waivers.

He failed to make the initial 53-man roster and was released as part of final roster cuts in August 2024. Hardy subsequently joined the Bills' practice squad and signed a future/reserve contract with Buffalo in January 2025.

After being released, re-signed to the practice squad, and cut again by the Bills in August 2025, Hardy joined the Steelers in November 2025 via the practice squad. He signed a future/reserve contract with Pittsburgh in January 2026.
