Entering the 2026 NFL season, many expect the Arizona Cardinals to be one of the worst teams in football . Not having a defined starting quarterback doesn’t help. Jacoby Brissett, the team’s presumed starter, recently skipped minicamp in search of a pay raise.

The Cardinals have so far stood their ground, meaning Brissett’s $9. 1 million cap hit may stay intact for the 2026 season, the final year of his contract. The Cardinals also signed Gardner Minshew, who is expected to be Brissett’s backup.

However, the Cardinals have also drafted Miami (FL)’s Carson Beck in the third round. They also have former undrafted free agent signee Kedon Slovis. Yet, the Cardinals may not be completely content with their QB room.

Some, including the team’s players, may still be hoping to see another addition at QB. Recently, Cardinals wide receiver Kendrick Bourne took to social media to recruit future Hall of Fame QB Aaron Rodgers to Arizona for the upcoming season. “@AaronRodgers Come on we waiting on you.
