After a one-year sojourn at the Philadelphia Cricket Club, the Truist Championship, along with seven of the top-ranked golfers in the world, will head back to Quail Hollow for a final test before next week’s PGA Championship. Rory McIlroy will tee it up for the first time since his second Masters victory, as will defending champ Sepp Straka. Along with McIlroy, OWGR top-10 pros Matt Fitzpatrick, Cameron Young, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, Xander Schauffele and J.
J. Spaun will trek to North Carolina for the signature event. McIlroy has won at Quail Hollow four times in his career, most recently in 2024 by five strokes over Xander Schauffele.
That was Schauffele’s second runner-up at the Truist in back-to-back years. Last year’s champ, Straka, won by two shots over Shane Lowry and Justin Thomas.
