Braves reinstate Raisel Iglesias, DFA Carlos Carrasco

The #Braves today reinstated RHP Raisel Iglesias from the injured list and designated RHP Carlos Carrasco for assignment. Additionally, LHP Dylan Dodd tonight begins a rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett. The Braves closer has been missed. Robert Suarez has been excellent in his stead. However, connecting the starting pitcher to the closer by the bullpen has not been functioning well.
The bullpen outside of Iglesias, Suarez, Tyler Kinley, Dylan Lee, and Didier Fuentes has largely been a collection of smooth rocks and sticks bound together by bowling alley shoestrings to the tune of -0. 3 WAR. WAR isn’t a great metric for relievers, but the FIP speaks for itself.
