Rookie OT Caleb Lomu reveals unique pre-draft connection to Patriots
One member of the Lomu family picked the New England Patriots as Caleb Lomu's NFL team ahead of the 2026 draft.
Caleb Lomu's wife, Kitty Pierson Lomu, pinned the New England Patriots as her dream destination ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. And that's exactly where the Lomu family is headed after the former standout offensive tackle from Utah was selected with the No. 28 overall pick.
Ahead of the draft, Kitty created a map with all 32 NFL teams on it, and each family member placed a tiny notepad paper on where they thought Caleb would be headed. Kitty ultimately chose the Patriots as the destination for Caleb, and it proved to be the correct choice on draft night. “She's gone online and made a little map, so it was the whole U.
S. map. But then they had each team, where they were located," Lomu said on Patriots All Access .
"It was just like little notepads, little notes you could write your name on. And so she put her name on New England. Maybe there was someone else, but I'm not sure.
