Former Longhorn softball star selected 8th overall in AUSL Draft
Leighann Goode is staying in Texas after being selected in the top ten of the AUSL Draft by the Texas Volts.
After four unforgettable years with theย Texas Longhorns , Leighann Goode is taking her talents to AUSL. The former Longhorn star was drafted eighth overall by the Texas Volts on Monday night. While Goode will be joining a new organization, she will be staying in the Lone Star state as she looks to make a name for herself at the next level.
During her college career, Goode posted a . 316 batting average in 215 games. The Texas native also drove in 136 runs and has been an on-base machine the last two seasons.
