Where LSU baseball sits in latest RPI rankings

Where does LSU baseball's RPI rank after sweeping South Carolina? Here's where Jay Johnson's squad sits.

LSU baseball swept South Carolina over the weekend, but it didn't do much for the Tigers' RPI. Per Warren Nolan, LSU is still outside the top-50, sitting No. 55 in the latest RPI rankings.

Jay Johnson's squad is 28-21 overall and 9-15 in conference play. LSU is only 4-13 vs quad one opponents, while also having five losses vs quad four opponents. The lack of good wins and surplus of bad losses doesn't make for a good resume.

If the NCAA Tournament began tomorrow, LSU would be on the outside looking in. Still, all hope is not lost. LSU needed to go 3-0 vs.

South Carolina and did. That put the Tigers back in the bubble conversation as we enter the final stretch of the regular season. LSU has a chance to make a statement this weekend.
