The Atlanta Braves had the opportunity to win against the Seattle Mariners , but received a shaky outing from right-hander JR Ritchie.

In the third outing of his career, Ritchie allowed three earned runs, six walks and struck out two in five innings. Despite the Braves losing on Monday, first baseman Matt Olson hit a career milestone, as he hit his 300th home run in the top of the sixth inning. โ€œYeah, obviously, a great milestone, able to get the ball back,โ€ Olson said to Chad Bishop of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution . " I wish we could have gotten the win on top of it, to make it a little sweeter. But you're gonna remember that one.

โ€ Olson went 1-for-3 in the 5-4 loss to the Mariners, with a walk, a strikeout and a run scored. Three of the Braves' four runs scored came off solo home runs. Catcher Drake Baldwin hit one in the top of the first and Ozzie Albies hit one in the top of the sixth inning.
