4-star linebacker Kenneth Simon announces commitment date
Class of 2027 four-star linebacker Kenneth Simon II has announced his commitment date and has UGA in his top-4
The Georgia Bulldogs could get an elite linebacker prospect soon. Four-star linebacker Kenneth Simon II will announce his commitment on Monday, May 11, according to Hayes Fawcett . He will choose among Georgia , Alabama, Ole Miss , and Tennessee.
Simon II is a four-star linebacker from the class of 2027. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker plays high school football for Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee. Location-wise, the Tennessee Volunteers make the most sense, since the school is about three hours away from his hometown.
However, Rivals' prediction model has him committing to the Alabama Crimson Tide. 247 Sports logged a Crystal Ball prediction for him to commit to Alabama as well. Regardless, Georgia needs to win this recruitment battle.
They currently own the No. 18 recruiting class in the nation after cornerback Jerry Outhouse flipped to UCLA, and they haven't yet earned any linebacker commits. Georgia defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann does an elite job of recruiting linebackers, so Georgia fans shouldn't be too worried.
