Journalist: Liverpool star set to make final decision on future Alisson Becker Future at Liverpool Comes Into Focus Amid Juventus Interest Alisson Becker’s Liverpool future became another important topic on Anfield Index’s ‘Media Matters’ podcast, as Dave Davis and David Lynch discussed a summer that could bring major change at Anfield. The conversation came after Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat away to Manchester United, but the wider mood of the podcast was about more than one poor result. Davis and Lynch worked through a squad that may look very different next season, with Mohamed Salah, Federico Chiesa, Curtis Jones and possibly Alisson all discussed in relation to potential exits.
When Davis turned to the Italy links, he introduced Alisson as a decision that may rest largely with the player. “Is it almost the case of, is Alisson just going to decide whether he wants to see out his final year or go? ” he asked.
That framed the issue neatly. Liverpool may not be actively pushing Alisson out, but with Juventus interest described as real, this could become one of the most significant calls of the summer. Lynch says decision may be Alisson’s David Lynch’s response was clear.
“Yeah, I think he’s going to get the choice,” he said. For a player of Alisson’s status, that matters. Lynch suggested Liverpool will treat the goalkeeper with respect because of what he has given the club.
