Should the Mets do this?

The only way the Mets should do so is if they were to find a young player with multiple years of control and a deal that they simply can't refuse. On the flip side, if I were David Stearns and other decision-makers in New York, I'd probably move on from a few guys at the deadline. The Mets have a really good roster in terms of individual players and can definitely continue to improve what's already regarded as a top-ranked farm system if they do what's needed at the deadline.

There's a lot of time before that, and it's possible the Mets start to play better, but these are things they'll have to consider. Others don't agree with that, suggesting the Mets should make a move for Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers . I understand the idea of adding a player of his caliber, as many fans would want that, but he'd have to come and sign an extension for this to make any bit of sense.

โ€œThe biggest move the Mets could look to make is a move to win right now and a move to win in the future. It's a trade for superstar ace Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers. โ€œSkubal is the best pitcher in baseball, and that's been the case for the last three years.
