EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – An up and down regular season came to a close for the softball aces over the weekend as they dropped the final game of the season to Valparaiso at home. The loss marked a series sweep for Valpo and capped off a disappointing four-game losing streak for the aces to close things out.

The softball squad finished the season with a 21-28 record which was good enough to secure them a six seed in the upcoming Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. It was a regular season where the team feels like they left some wins on the table, but now they look to the tournament feeling like they have lots of room to still grow. The Purple Aces will have a chance to prove just that as they take on the three seed Murray St.
