The Boston Red Sox kicked off their road series against the Detroit Tigers with a much-needed win on Monday, taking the series opener 5-4 at Comerica Park to improve to 14-21. It was also a unique win for the Red Sox, who overcame a multi-run deficit and won for the first time this season . Prior to Monday's victory, Boston was 0-18 this year in games where it trailed by at least two runs at any point.
