Rockford IceHogs part ways with assistant coach Rob Klinkhammer
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) โ The IceHogs first major move of the offseason impacts their coaching staff. Monday, assistant coach Rob Klinkhammer was let go.
IceHogs general manager Mark Bernard released this following statement: โThe IceHogs would like to thank Rob for his four years of coaching in Rockford. We wish him and his family nothing but the best in the future. โ Klinkhammer joined the IceHogs coaching staff in the 2022-23 season.
During his playing career he suited up for the IceHogs for parts of three seasons from 2008-2012. He also played for the Blackhawks as well as four other NHL organizations. He also played for Canada in the 2018 Winter Olympics winning a bronze medal.
