South Range cruises to their 9th straight win

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) โ€“ South Range extended their winning streak to nine games with a 10-0 victory over Hubbard. The victory was a total team effort, combining a relentless 13-hit barrage with a near-perfect performance in the circle that moved South Range to 15-6 on the season. Sophia Brogan provided the primary fireworks, finishing the day with a double, a home run and a massive 5 RBI day. The power didnโ€™t stop there. Addison Wardle and Anna Aey both belted home runs of their own, while Solena DeJesus and Katie Dance collected two hits apiece.

While the offense was busy lighting up the scoreboard, the pitching duo of Ashley Rupert and Cameryn Crepage was shutting the door. Rupert earned the start and was dominant through 4 1/3 innings, striking out seven. Crepage took over in the fifth, tossing the final 1 2/3 innings to seal the combined one-hitter.

For Hubbard (11-6), Izzie Slifka managed the lone base hit of the day against the Raidersโ€™ formidable arms. The Lady Raiders will look to make it 10 in a row as they travel to Niles this Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Eagles will look to bounce back quickly as they host Cardinal Mooney on Tuesday.
