Here's the Latest on Roman Anthony's Injury For Boston Red Sox
The hits keep on coming for the Boston Red Sox as their star outfielder exited Monday's win in Detroit with an apparent wrist injury
The Boston Red Sox rallied for their largest comeback win of the season on Monday night with a 5-4 win over the Detroit Tigers . However, Boston was unable to escape the injury bug in the win as star outfielder Roman Anthony exited the game with a right-hand injury. The injury occurred in Anthony's first at-bat in the first inning.
He fought off a 1-0 sinker, ripping it foul into the third base stands and was seen flexing his right hand/wrist after the swing. After a lengthy conversation with interim manager Chad Tracy and head trainer Brandon Henry, Anthony remained in the game, eventually grounding out to second base and taking his place in left field in the home half of the first. It wasn't until the Red Sox took the field in the second inning that Anthony was replaced by Masataka Yoshida in left field.
The team later dubbed the injury "right wrist discomfort. " Roman Anthony has left the game after appearing to injure himself on a swing in the first inning pic. twitter.

"Just some discomfort in the top of his hand... imaging tonight was negative, but we are gonna send him back to Boston to see our hand specialist just to look at it and make sure," Tracy told reporters after the win.
