Phillies to Have Competition for Alex Cora in MLB Offseason
There's been a lot of news coming out around Major League Baseball over the past week or so, with the Philadelphia Phillies making one of the biggest decisions. After moving on from head coach Rob Thomson, there's certainly a lot the Phillies will have to consider over the next few weeks to months. Currently 15-20 and in fourth place in the National League East, already 10.
0 games behind the first-place Atlanta Braves, the Phillies definitely don't seem to be in a position to add anybody at the trade deadline. If anything, this seems like a great time for them to really move on from certain guys and try to fix the future of this organization. However, according to the latest, it sounds like the Phillies are already working the phones, whether that means looking to add guys or moving on from players, considering they have multiple who would fit in very well on other contending teams.

Nightengale later added that there's an expectation that the Phillies are confident that Alex Cora will be their skipper in 2027.
