The Kansas City Chiefs signed a former Indiana Hoosiers star offensive lineman and waived one of their veteran backup quarterbacks after rookie camp.

The Kansas City Chiefs may have found their latest diamond in the rough by signing former Indiana Hoosiers offensive lineman Kahlil Benson after a successful tryout at the team's rookie camp. A member of the Hoosiers' 2025 CFP National Championship roster, Benson saw action in 49 games as a collegian between stints in Indiana (2022-2023, 2025) and with the Colorado Buffaloes (2024). Set to turn 24 years old in August, Benson's relative experience could translate to early success in the NFL under the direction of Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.
