Infielder John Peck is among the Detroit Tigers' top prospects, in his fourth season in the organization after he was selected in the seventh round of the MLB Draft. Last week, he authored a stretch that was among not only the best in the organization, but in the minors. Peck, 23, put together a week for Double-A Erie in which he went 10 for 19 with four home runs and nine RBIs, helping him land on both Baseball America's weekly "hot sheet," as well as MLB Pipeline's Prospect Team of the Week , which were both released Monday.
Entering Monday, Peck is hitting . 278 with an . 869 OPS, bolstered by a week that also included four doubles.
His six home runs on the season are more than halfway to last year's total of 11 following "the best week of his pro career," Baseball America's J. J. Cooper writes.
