Los Angeles Angels starter Jose Soriano’s hot start to the season earned him his first American League Pitcher of the Month award. The right-hander has been a bright spot for the Angels in the young 2026 season, posting a 0. 84 ERA with 49 strikeouts through seven starts.
He became just the third pitcher in MLB history to finish April with five or more wins, 49 or more strikeouts and an ERA below 1. 00 alongside Randy Johnson with the 2000 Arizona Diamondbacks and Jered Weaver with the 2011 Angels. Congratulations to José Soriano on being named the A.
