OKC Thunder star Jalen Williams was ruled out for Game 1 of a second-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers due his Grade 1 left hamstring strain.
OKC Thunder star Jalen Williams has been ruled out for Game 1 of a second-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers at 7:30 p. m. CT Tuesday.
Williams is still dealing with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain that he sustained on April 22 during Game 2 of a first-round series against the Phoenix Suns . He's being re-evaluated on a weekly basis. "He's progressing according to plan, I would say," Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said of Williams on Monday.
"In terms of a timeline, we're not going to release that. Weโll continue to let you guys know on a week-to-week basis. โ The only other player on OKC's injury report is rookie center Thomas Sorber .
He's out for the entire season due to a torn ACL in his right knee . Meanwhile, Los Angeles remains without Luka Donฤiฤ . The superstar guard is still recovering from a Grade 2 left hamstring strain that he sustained on April 2.
