After setting a new career-high in strikeouts, Dylan Volantis is adding to his trophy case . The Longhorns ' star was named the SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week On Monday due to his stellar outing against Mississippi State last Friday. With Texas needing a win against a conference rival, Volantis showed why he is one of the best pitchers in the country.

Against the Bulldogs, Volantis struck out 12 batters in six scoreless innings. He only allowed three singles while frustrating Mississippi State hitters all afternoon. In what has been a seemingly easy transition to the rotation, Volantis was nearly unhittable.
