Raiders sign UDFA WR who is following Fernando Mendoza to 3rd stop
Fernando Mendoza gets another familiar face with the Raiders. This one is the most familiar of all.
Monday, following the Raiders ' Rookie minicamp, the team has added yet another undrafted tryout player. And yet another college teammate of top pick Fernando Mendoza. The team has signed WR Jonathan Brady according to his agent KMM in instagram.
Brady is just the latest former Indiana teammate of Mendoza's to join the Silver & Black. The Raiders already signed RB Ramon Hemby and WR EJ Williams on undrafted free agent deals. The thing about Brady is he isn't just a former Hoosier teammate of Mendoza, he's a former Cal Bears teammate as well.
Which means this is the third time he has joined a team with Mendoza. Brady's college career began at New Mexico State. Then he transferred to Cal in 2024, catching 36 passes from Mendoza for 386 yards and three touchdowns.
Then when Mendoza transferred to Indiana, so too did Brady. Three of his 14 catches last season went for touchdowns and he added another TD on punt return. The Raiders were at roster capacity so Brady's addition will have to elicit a corresponding cut.
